Display Sound Icon by Clock?

Mmmm... Im still a noob. But for sure getting there.

I want to know how to adjust sounds inside Mandrake? like the System beeps and such, and also how do I make the Sound Icon appear near the clock? just like windows.

menu: Configuration>KDE>Look & Feel>System Notifications

this is where the individual sounds can be accessed/changed

the best you can do (as far as i know) is to put a shortcut on the "taskbar" to Aumix

Make shure that you have the kmix applet loaded. Then on the task bar right-click/add applet kmix. This should give a a group of slider bars to adjust the sound. Otherwise go to Multimedia>Sound>aumix to adjust the sound.

I use KMix in KDE, right click on the kicker panel-> Add-> Application Button-> Multimedia-> Sound-> KMix.

Then drag to your desired location on the kicker panel.

As you can see there is atleast 2 ways of doing this.
