Disk Drake
Does someone have knowledge on how to fix the following:
Control Center>Mount Points>Disk Drake
I receive the following error message when attempting to run this task as well as most others within Monut Points:
"This Program Has exited Abnormally!"
Any suggestions are appreciated. You can e-mail me if you like at apluscomputer@earthlink.net or info@dmatloff-enterprises.com
Thank you, Aplus

Open a console and type diskdrake at the prompt. Assuming it crashes again, this should give more meaningful error messages.

Here is output:
[dmatloff@DME dmatloff]$ diskdrake
bash: diskdrake: command not found
[dmatloff@DME dmatloff]$
My real problem is when trying to run DiskDrake from within the KDE desktop and in Control Center and Mount Points. When it is crashing, the program is accessing the FDo, the floppy drive.
Thanks for your patients. Aplus

My bad.
diskdrake is an administative command. Log in as root by typing su before trying to run it.
Also post the contents of /etc/fstab just in case there is a problem with any of your mount points.

You are using samba file server, or at least trying to.
I know absolutely nothing about samba.
The only suggestion I can make is that you have configured the floppy drive wrongly. Comment out the line with /mnt/A in it by putting a # infront of it
ie.
#//dmatloff/A /mnt/A smbfs credentials=/etc/samba/auth.dmatloff.dmatloff 0 0
rebooting and see if that works.

Yes I do use Samba for Windows Shares. I am going to try your suggestion later today and let you know if it works. I had the same the idea as well, but didn't want to try it until someone else confirmed this.

Unfortunately your suggestion did not fix this issue. I do think it is an association problem however of the executable file whichever one is suppose to launch the disk functions in the Mount Points options of the Control Center. Thanks for your help, aplus

Thanks you for your replay to thread. Here is what I tried since I read your suggestion. Can you tell me how to run the other commands you suggested? Thanks again, Aplus (Dan)
[root@DME dmatloff]# umount /mnt/a
umount: /mnt/a: not found
[root@DME dmatloff]#
