Disconnected in KPPP

I have a problem in MDK9.2 KPPP connection.
Eventhough I can make connection / login to my ISP by modem, it only lasted for a few minutes, and then got disconnected. I can not relogin because the modems failed to make handshake process. What can I do to make sure the connection last longer ?

check /var/log/messages for details on the problem.
