Direct Rendering
 

I've been working for days now to be able to play 3d accelerated games.. Now that I finally got the drivers and everything up to date I have the problem that I don't know how to enable Direct Rendering.
Anyone who can help me?

I solved it, I just had add a line of code at the end of modprobe.conf.

please tell what you did, I need the solution to this problem too

This is what I did:

I updated all of the drivers for my graphic card and X.
Then I added this line off code at the end of /etc/modprobe.conf:
install fglrx /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install fglrx && {/sbin/modprobe via-agp; /bin/true;}
I have a Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro card, I don't know if this applies to other cards or card-vendors.
