Desk Jet 640 configuration on Mandrake 9.1

Hi

I have Mandrake 9.1. First time I installed it, I chose the option of selecting individual packages. Then my printer worked fine. Printer Drake identified my printer which is HP Desk Jet 640. But I reinstalled the system without selecting individual packages. But now Print Drake does not even detect my printer. I added all the packages which has anything to do with CUPS and tried. I tried to add using advanced options but failed. It simply says failed to configure the printer and the application gets stuck. My printer is connected to the only pararallel port in the machine. Once I could add the printer using the web based printer management software but then after a couple of days the it stopped working. But it still works under Windows 2000 in my other partition. I have several questions
1. Does this web based printer manager interfere with Print Drake
2. If I have one parallel port in my machine what is that port called. (/dev/lp0?)
3. When you try to configure the printer, you have to give some info. One is the name. I think this is any name you can give to your printer. Another is the location. Is it just any text or is it /dev/lp0 or something?

I'd be grateful if somebody could help.

Thanks

I solved my problem by installing Mandrake 9.1 from the scratch by selecting individulal packages. When you install with just selecting the predefined bundles, i.e. game station, internet station etc. the system cannot configure the printer. I tried this 3 times (installed mandrake 3 times) and every time printer drake got stuck (tried to configure about 15 times) but I installed mandrake 9.1 3 times by individually selecting packages and selecting everypackage that has anything to do with printing and printer drake worked perfectly. So I think there is something wrong with the installer. If you don't select packages individually, printer drake doesn't work as it should. This is just my observation.
