default mysql installation


Could someone help me setup mysql for use with drupal, i installed it during the initial mandrake install, is that the way to go?

Yes. There is a drupal package in contrib if you wanted (see easyurpmi to setup access to contrib) but the installation looks pretty trivial anyway. So if its already installed just follow those instructions I linked to above.
