Alright, so far I've done pretty well with Mandriva 2007. I got Flash 9 working, got Firefox 2.0 installed and got all my music and programming stuff running. However, I just noticed a little while ago that when I go to save something like a picture off of Firefox, the list on the side that normally shows Pictures and Documents and such in their neat little icons are displayed by what look like files.. documents-mdk.desktop and pictures-mdk.desktop, etc. I'm assuming this is a problem with Firefox not being properly integrated into the OS (I just downloaded the folder and am running it from the folder because I couldn't find a 2.0 rpm). Is there any way to fix this? Its kind of annoying and so far everything has been very impressive in this distro except it's inability to detect my flash card when I put it in the printer slot.. but thats for another day.

when you download fox....decompress it and save it in your home folder
IN kde..konqueror view hidden files....delete

/home/yourname/.mozilla

then create a new icon

right hand click your desktop and point to a new application which will be

properties/application tab/ command =

/home/yourname/firefoxversion/firefox


and see if that helps
