as root: " crontab -e "
the vi editor will open up, type the entries, save and exit.
You can watch your entries with " crontab -l "
man crontab

as i said the first time you posted this, i assume it is because you're trying to load X applications, which are liekly to be having permission problems.

quite why anyone would want to load a cd burner every morning at 2:30 i've no idea.

sgrayban 01-17-2005 07:07 AM

or kpm

if he thinks he can burn cd's auto-magic with cron he needs to read more about that. like drakebackup

navaladi 01-17-2005 07:16 AM

sgrayban 01-17-2005 07:25 AM

stupid trolling idiot. another loser ignored.

acid_kewpie 01-17-2005 07:29 AM

Ok, the guy isn't using the forums as good as possible, but there's no need for that. Let's keep it polite.

navaladi, i think you need to slow down a little, take a step back and work out what you want to acheive, and look at some basic user guides to help you achieve your goals. you appear to be stabbing at the dark somewhat.

to load a cd, you'd use "eject -t /dev/cdrom" or such like, but i'd doubt that's what you really mean...

68 posts and he cant figure out how the forum works?

he is purposely trying to get a rise here.

This was answered already by a user here.

I suggest you stop repeating and start using google before you find yourself banned from here.

I have read 10 of your posts and they are trolling questions that could be answered by using google and common sense.
