Creating a cd image of installation

Hi,

im interested in making an image of my linux install ... the times ive messed it up and required a restore point happened too many times.

is there any good linux software that anyone can recommend to me to do this?

May want to look into G4L.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/g4l/

I have not used it myself but have used Ghost for PC and if G4L works simalar for linux I would recommend it.

This may be of interest if you would like to be able to "roll back" your system without reinstall.
