Contrib Repository for MDK 10.1

I hope somebody has an answer to this:
I got a hold of an MDK 10.1 official DVD version that inlcudes a "contrib" media folder. My question is, how often is the contrib repository updated. Should I use the one in the DVD or should I still be using the FTP repositories available via easy urpmi?

the ftp repositories, because they will always be up-to-date.

thanks man, that is what I thought too....the good thing though is that Instead of having 4 discs handy in case i need to install stuff I just need one....
