Connects but no web page
OS-AMD Athlon XP2300+, 2G pros., 512 M RAM, 40 G hdd. I noticed Mozilla wasn't starting so I tried Opera only to find out I was connecting but was getting no web page. XP/MDK 9.2 dual boot. Went through full diagnosis w/manufacturer on XP side. If you tell them you have Linux also you get "We don't support Linux". So, I first noticed this on MDK and found the problem existed on XP too. The final solution by manufacturer was total restore. Is this a Linux issue or Windows? I sure don't want to have to redo everything, any ideas??

Do pages load with other browsers on linux or xp?
Have you put any proxy settings into browsers that do work?

This morning I got up and it fixed itself. I don't have a clue what made it do that except there was a severe storm where my isp's computer is located. But my other computer was unaffected. I never tried Konquerer, but Opera and Mozilla on the Linux side wouldn't work and IE, Opera and Mozilla on the XP side wouldn't work. Thanks for the reply.

are you sure it wasn't a problem with your ISP? I've seen that before where you're connected to the net but no matter what you do you aren't able to send or receive any data... you shoulda tried something else like opening irc or something, maybe it wasn't just specific to web browsing.

It must have been, but my other box was unaffected.
