Configuration Windows bigger then the screen

Hi everyone,

I'm using KDE 3.3 at a 800X600 resolution. The problem is most configuration windows (this occurs in both system configuration and in many program configuration screens) are slightly bigger then the screen, so I cannot se all of it, and most importantly it becames a very hard task to hit the Ok or Cancel button that always comes in the lower part.

I cannot change to a higher resolution because it will make my old monitor go crasy. When I tryed switching to 640x480 the problem seamed to get worse!! So I'm just wondering if the configuration window sizes were hard coded by people that use 1200x800 resolutions =(

Has anyone came across this problem? Any ideas the make those windows fit my screen???

Thanks,

Felipe

I know this problem. Especially Konqueror's configuration window is horrible... There is a simple way to move the windows without clicking onto the title bar: Hold [Alt] and (left-)click anywhere in the window. Keep the mouse button pressed and move around. Similar: [Alt]+right-click resizes the window without seeing the borders. This is just another thing in the hundreds of things I miss in M$ Windows...

Hope I could help,
mschutte

Thanks!

The configurations windows wont resize to became smaller, but now I can drag them to see the rest.

I'll also try sending a bug report to KDE and see if they fix this somehow.
