computer doesn't turnoff with mdk 10.1 official

Hi! I use an ATX powered board and MDKLinux 10.1 Official (Download Edition) and anytime I shutdown, at the end of the processes, I see "Power Down" as if I am using an AT powered board. In short, I always have to turn it off manually. It appears that this problem is peculiar to my Mandrake. I've got no problems with Suse 9.2 Personal and Knoppix. The only problem is that Mandrake is by best flavour. How can I rectify this problem? Any method will be good. By the way, I don't have the bucks to get one of the commercial editions for now.

Try going in MCC , system, boot parameters (I do not know the exact name in English) check the ACPI box and your system will shut down just fine.

I have the very same problem but turning the ACPI on did not help me...
