Compile error


I just installed a fresh copy of Mandrake 10.1 Community.

First thing I do is setup urpmi.... then I downloaded a tar file and extract it.... heres what happens........

Should it not work by default... Ill assume it means it cannot find a GNU C++ Compiler (g++).... how do I fix?

U probably haven't installed the development package from the cd
I think you don't have C++ compiler installed.

I have same error ..... i installed all the development aswell.

make sure you have the following 3 packages installed..........

gcc-<version>mdk
gcc-c++-<version>mdk
gcc-cpp-<version>mdk

to find out, in a terminal as root do.........

rpm -qa|grep gcc
if any of those 3 packages are missing, install them. they're on the MDK CD's.
