Clock problem.

I have windows98 and Mdk9.2 installed ,and these clockes somehow 4 hours different.
But if I adjust clock then computer clock is changed so I can not fix this problem.
Can I just change hour without effecting computer clock?

Had the same problem.

But I can't remember what I did to fix it.
Do you have (rightclick)->timezone local timezone ?

Yes ,I have that.

right click -> Adjust date and time.
I use America/New York (and I am in denmark)

And everything seems to work fine. Mails get my localtime.
(Do you have your "location" there ? - which I don't think is correct)

go to Mandrake Control Center->system->time & date. adjust your clock to the correct time, then set it to UTC time zone & apply. answer "no" when it asks if your use GMT time.

I have a similar problem. I also dual boot with Windows, and the problem is that for some reason the two clocks always differ. For instance, if I adjust the time in Windows to, say, 8PM (before 7PM), then Mandrake will change its clock too, and vice versa. Very annoying. Thus, either I have the right time in Windows, either in Mandrake, I can't have the right time in both of them at the same time.
Has this something to do with the BIOS clock? My BIOS clock has the right time, though.

The Mandrake control center worked ,UTC-----Thanks.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:17 PM.
