Changing the look of thetaskbar

Is it possible to change the way the taskbar looks? For example can you change the star icon which represents the start button to something else? What about the icons next to it? Can those be changed as well?

What distro are you using, I assume its Mandrake, but put it in your profile. Do a google search and you will find a solution on how to change the kmenu star to something else.

Well actually I'm using the Live CD called Mandrake Move and that has KDE 3.2. I don't know if it's possible to change the taskbar just using the Live CD(opjose told me the Live CD is kind of "crippled") but what if I actually installed Mandrake Linux 10.1(Discovery) to my hard drive?

The download LiveCD which you are using does not permit you to save any configuration changes.

The Download version of 10.1 (which you must install to the HDD) does permit you to make and save changes, as does the full retail version.
