changing number of desktops

Is there any way to permament change number of destops in mandriva 2007 live one?

Does mandriva 2007 run Gnome or KDE default? I forget. if you're on gnome just right-click the Workspace Switcher then preferences and increase the number of workspaces. Must be similar for KDE.

...no. Unless you install to hard drive. Mandrake Move, and the more updated Knoppix allow for customization of the desktop, which is saved on a USB "thumb drive" or similar removable media. I have not gotten One to keep any persistent settings, might be doable, but I've never accomplished it.
