Changing LookNFeel

Hi;

Lately I have had the urge to change my boring KDE into something amazing. I have a certain theme in mind, but the problem is I cant do anything!!!! here is a link to the theme I want: http://images.mandrakesoft.com/img/s...dk100-scr1.jpg. My questions are: How do you make everything transparent? How do you get that bar that this person has on the left side of the their screen? and How do you get a floating calender?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Do a google search for "karamba" or "super karamba"

It enables you to run scripts on your desktop in kde....

Hmmm, a lot of questions!

Transparency: Start with the "LookNFeel" section of "Configure Your Desktop". Under "Style" there is a tab labeled "Effects". There you can set Menus to be Translucent, as well as the amount of Translucency. Under "Panels" there is an "Appearance" tab, which lets you set the kicker panel to Transparant.

The vertical panel on the side of the screen looks like gkrellim, a system monitor too available on the CDs, or via urpmi.

The calendar and weather bugs on the background are part of a karamba or superkaramba theme.

And one more thing! How do you put notes on your desktop? (see where it says luts in the picture I referenced above)

Thanks again!
