Changing Lilo Bootsplash?

I want to change the splash screen for lilo and then the loading process, but whever I load a picture in DrakSpash (yes, the right pixel dimensions) and select preview, it says that I must 'choose an image first'!

Insanity!

I've looked all over the place, but nothing explaining this. Is there a way to fix the problem? Better yet, is there a manual way to make a bootsplash?

BTW, I'm running 9.1
