Changing boot image of Mandriva 2005 LE KDE

Ok...this is just a small issue that has been bugging me for a while now.

I was wondering how to change the very first boot image of Mandriva 2005 LE using KDE.

I'm sure you know the one I'm talking about...it has the penguin head with stars for eyes.

I have modified the login screen and have taken that background image and used it as the background for my desktop. This helps with the continuity of the theme as I won't have multiple images jumping out at me and overall lends to a very smooth boot up look. My problem is that when the machine first logs in I am stuck with this default background image until the login screen comes up.

It's a superficial issue...I know...I am just wondering if anyone can help me with the directory Mandriva uses so that I can alter the default image?

Hey,
I'm wanting to do the same thing. I just hate the penguin with the funky eyes. Of all the backgrounds they could have used..

The Background itself is stored in /usr/share/mdk/backgrounds

I don't know whether you could just replace (rename) the default picture with another one.
I'm not even sure these are the files they are using....

Let us know when you find out how to change it. It really bugs me too.

Got a meeting with some Linux Guru's in a few weeks they might be able to show me how to fix that.....

Thanks
