Hi, I'm a total newbie and I'm sorry if this is too basic, but I just installed mandrake 10.1 and i found myself with the xmms (soundwrapper xmms instead of xmms) problem.

So as root,I went to system ->menu->system menus to edit the comand line of xmms. I did it, then I saved everything and updated and instead of just showing my changes, another icon for xmms appears, one of them is the one I edited and the other is just the same as it was before i did it. So now I have two and when I tray to use the xmms from the menu, it still crashes.

I've tryed deleting the wrong one, but it comes back again. Also tryed editing that one, and the I get three so...

Does anyone know what am I doing wrong?. Thanx a lot.

you need to try changing your menu using system. Not root. That way it will change your user menu.

I've tryed changing both, but what i meant was that I did it as root, not as a simple user.
