cdrw+DVD rom in mandrake-10.1?

i have a cdrw+DVD rom combo looks like i was able to play cds only, any idea how i enable DVD in the drive. im trying to use a DVD rom that is packed with other distro that i would like to try but getting this error all the time. "mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdc,
or too many mounted file systems
Please check that the disk is entered correctly."

i don't know what else to post here if you guys need the fstab file posted let me know. i will post it here.

Are you having trouble booting that dvdrom or loading it for viewing in a file manager?

If it's viewing, there is a package that needs to be installed to read dvd.

If you search for dvd in rpmdrake "configure my computer/package manager", using the file-names tab of the search function, it should give you at least one package.

see how you go. Maybe you have it installed already, and have a different prob.

yup its for viewing and for watching dvd movies.
