CDrom's on 10 not reading

Having got most of 10 community working on two different machines and motherboards and overcoming the ps2 device problem I cannot get the CDrom's up in konqueror. Both machines the install was from the bootable CD's

I can run Totem and Mediaplayer no problem and plays DVD's -using Pioneer 106 DVD Rewriter on one machine , on the second machine with seperate dvd rewriter and cdrom rewriter it will not read dvd's nor cd's -the cd is the default boot device and installed the 10.

One machine -pioneer combo only will read the dvd only, The second with two types of drives will not read anything. Had no problem with 9.2 on either machine with any of the drives.

Anyone, been able to work around this one?

I have now found how to work round this.

I right clicked on the cdrom ikon and clicked unmount. Then i clicked on the ikon again and it mounted the cdrom i have only done this in root so far, guess it needed a wake up call.

Did find another problem under root. Having the cdrom konqueror window up clicking on home would not get another konqueror window up, but did get it to work by clicking on the webbrowser on the bottom line and going up to files. Have now successfully put my files in.

Question now is dare I use 10 community on my laptop which has the 10 beta 2 working on it?
