Sorry if this was answered in another thread, but I did not find anything by searching the terms that I could come up with.
I have come to the conclusion that my standard login that I use in Mandrake 10.1 doesn't have enough rights to either play CD audio disks or DVD disks. The only way that I can get either to work is to launch either kscd or Xine from a console as root.
What permanent changes and where will I need to make in order to give my login sufficient access to use audio and DVD disks? I find it odd that a standard Mandrake-created user would not have access to this functionality.
