CD downloads are strange sizes!

Hi,
I just downloaded the 3 CD files for MandrakeLinux (10.1 official). The download page says they are 692, 695 and 695 MB respectively. However my downloaded files are 353, 711 and 711. I'm confused - should I download again or is this normal? Also which download is it that verifies the integrity of the other downloads? Sorry I'm a MS Windows user totally new to Linux. Thanks in advance for any help.

Your best bet would be to check your downloads against the md5 file that should be in the same directory you are downloading from. Type in "md5 checksum" in gooogle and you wil get an idea what I am talking about and links to free programs to use.

tyr a different mirror because there is no chance that those are the correct files. They should be bigger and should all be similar sizes.
