can't switch https off with apache 2
Mandrake 10 has apache 2 enabled with https server (as well as http.
Where is the script that starts up on boot the apache server?

My actual problem is with SuSE 9.1 which I am trying which doesn't have the https on.
I'am trying to get a handle on getting the https to work, by comparing it with Man10.

If it wasn't for the Man10 amd64 not working on my ASrock board I wouldn't have to go through this.

As root

chkconfig --del httpd

This will remove it from being autostarted.

To stop the current running process.

as root

service httpd stop

You can always manually start it again with

service httpd start
