Cannot login as root on mandrake 9.2
 

For some reason, the root login has been diabled in the login manager of my mandrake 9.2 OS. Can someone please give me an idea as to how to re-activte it?
Yes! I'm entering the correct password.
Yes! I can get into my regular login id, and go to the root via the "su" in a terminal
It just will no longer allow me to login directly as "root" username in the login screen.
It says that it's invalid.

try use mdk control centre - system - login manager
in users uncheck root, but i never tried it b4.
