cannot install Mandriva Limited Edition 2005

I have download the Mandriva Limited Edition 2005 from linux-mandrake.com and have tried to install but fail. When I booting from cdrom that contains Mandriva Limited Edition 2005 CD1, it display a command whether to press F1 or Enter. And I have press Enter to continue my installation. After that, the next display is appearing. In this display, my installation is hang or stop without any instruction. I have tried for many times but the problem still the same. I also have tried the installation on IBM PC and it successful installed. What is the problem with my installation? Anyone can solve my problem???

1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive

Intel® RAID Technology

Disable that on the motherboard and BIOS.

if you don't need raid then disable it.

edit: if you don't know whether or not you need raid, then you probably don't.

F1 from the first screen, then "linux noauto". Should work.

This motherboard sucks with Linux, I have two computers with it. Mandriva 2006 does not install AT ALL on them, 2005 works fine (excluding this installation issue).

interesting 2005 vs 2006
The mobo is not the MSI 865PE Neo2-V
that is in the database with no review

Maybe you should append it to
LinuxQuestions.org > Hardware Compatibility List > MotherBoards > MSI
