Cannot Find Security Update Server in 10.0
 

Hi

I have just recently re-installed 10.0 from my powerpack 5 cd set. I have added the urpmi site for packages but I cannot adda security update. When I try, it says it is downloading mirrors but comes back with an error saying it cannot find any mirrors! It then says that it may mean my architecture may not be supported.

Now that is crap! I am running an Athlon 1800xp+ and when this was installed initially on this same box 2 years ago I had no problems getting security updates.

Can anyone explain what has changed please and maybe suggest a fix? I am having problems installing other programs because of old versions of certain dependancies, with no option of upgrading them at this time either :(

10.0 is no longer supported. It ended September 30, 2005. You can view that here

To find updates for 10.0, try looking in the old tree like from here
ftp://ftp.belnet.be/linux/mandrake/old/updates/10.0/

Oh, I did not know that but I am not surprised by the news either. Thanks, I will check that out, but I will most likely download 2006 again :( I had burnt the ISO to DVD but for some reason, my DVD is not recognised in BIOS so it is not a bootable device. I will now download the CD version. Does anyone know where I can get the 5CD powerpack version from please?
