Cannot adjust 'capture' level in kmix
 

For some reason the above slider is stuck on full throttle. My microphone in recordings are coming in distorted as a result. I have ALSA enabled in the 'sound system' part of kde control center (kde 3.2).

I tried to lower the output volume of the source but then the signal to noise ratio is terrible, so I really need to adjust this slider I think.
