can i install 9.2 on my hard drive with windows me?
 
im a home user with windows me,40gb hard drive128 ram.what is the best way to install 9.2?do i have to partition my hard drive?

Yes you can install Windows ME and Linux of any distribution as a dual boot system.

The Mandrake install has an NTFS resizing tool. Defrag Windows before starting your install.

You didn't install the developmental packages? As root, command:
urpmi gcc
An Introduction to the Midnight Commander. You can install it by commanding:
urpmi mc
