I installed Mandrake 10.1 a few days ago and got my internet connection working today.
However, whenever i want to update my distribution and I try to send my configuration to Mandrakeonline i get the following messages:
1. Reading configuration
2. Sending configuration...
3. Problem occurs when uploading files, please try again
Each time i try again i get the exact same message. Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your help
I think since the name change from Madrake to Mandriva, the domain names that you update from has also changed.
August, 12th 2005 - Please update your bookmarks! - As many of you already know, all our former domain names which included the word "mandrake" have been deprecated: we do not use them anymore! And since the end of July they aren't valid anymore.
BTW just in case you don't know you can get updates for free just by running Mandrake update from the Control Centre. You don't need to pay for Mandrakeonline
u cant update mandrake 10.1 from control center anymore all the links u get in mandrake 10.1 all lead to mandrake sites and they are do0wn due to the name change. i tryed and failed everytime.

once that is done goto http://easyurpmi.zarb.org do steps 1,2and 3 and then paste the info in a terminal and that will update the urpmi on you box hope this helps ya

if you follow this there is no need to use the mandrake update this will update the software packages to the newest out then you update the programs that you need to
