Can't find Cups driver for Canon Pixma IP2200

I have a shared Canon IP1600 printer on a Windows machine that I am trying to set up on my Mandriva machine. Everywhere I look for the driver, the comments are that the IP2200 driver works for this printer. However, I cannot find any place where I can download the IP2200 driver. I did find one place on the Canon web site but the download link is broken. Can anyone give me a working URL for this driver?

The second question is how to set up this printer. Using CUPS admin tools I can only find a selection for Windows via Samba. Is that what I use? If so how do I reference that printer to CUPS? If not then what do I use to reference that printer? Do I have to do something special on the Windows machine other the share the printer?

TIA.

Thanks but that is the one to which I referred. The download link (javacript) is broken.

I know this is a VERY old thread but I thought I would post to it to help others. I also have recently been trying to get a Canon Pixma ip2200 to work with Linux (Fedora 14).

To cut a VERY, VERY long story short the solution was to download and install the drivers from the Canon Australia website.

http://support-au.canon.com.au/P/sea..._os&g_os=Linux

Using CUPS I manually installed the PPD file which should be located here:

/usr/share/cups/model/canonip2200.ppd
