Can't mount anything!

Hi
I run Mandrake 9.2 and have problems with mounting. When ever I try to mount something, say a floppy for example, this is what happens:

[root@genesisx mnt]# mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy
mount: permission denied

Note that I run that command as root. Same applies for CDROMs.

Any ideas?

it's saying permission denied on "mount"
maybe the permissions on mount are screwy. or he's not as root as he
thinks he is.

I bet you are trying to mount a supermount

By default mandrake tends to set up supermount as a means of mount drives. It uses supermount so you don't have to mount and unmount say a cdrom or floppy manually. If the drive is tagged as a supermount it will give you a denied.

hope this helps
