Angry Can't make Firefox my default browser

Running Mandrake 10.0 and KDE 3.2. Tried changing file association, moving Firefox to top of list, and also deleting other browsers from the preference list. No matter what I do, clicking a link in an email (I use Thunderbird) opens it in Mozilla. HELP!!
