byzanz-record

hello does does anyone use byzanz-record with kde?
by using the command
/usr/bin/byzanz-record --duration=30 -l -c stevestest3.gif

it captures the first frame and the mouse travel but not the rest of the screen .
Im trying to make a gif that shows off how cool the 2010 cube effect is.
