They can all do the job. The article I wrote just focused on Nero and K3B, the programs I use. You do not need overburn, because overburn suggests that you will be putting more than 700mb or so. Your iso's should be like 654mb. Your fine. Just make sure they are the 3 different cd's and you make them bootable data disks.

well thats the problem.
the torrent files off mandrake site are slightly over 700 on cd 2 and 3
so i assume the overburn feature will solve this...will it ????

LinuxISO.org also shows them under 700 megs.
BTW, for the FAQ guy, you can also right click the file in Konqueror and pick K3b from the Ac tions menu item. Ac tions menu changes dynamically depending on the file type too, which is really neat. Selecting a group of mpg files adds "Create Video CD with K3b", for example. Seems to save me a step or two, anyway.

it seems that there might be some bad ISO's on some of the mirrors. Some people have been getting ISO's that give them kernel panics on install, and now you have ISo's that are bigger than they should be. You should just stick with linuxiso.org man. I assume your in windows, just use this program wackget , and put in all 3 links to the iso's and they should all be done in less than 3-4 hours depending on the speed.

I don't know about Windows apps, but K3b always calculates the checksum before buring an ISO. LinuxISO.org has the checksums on same page I linked above, which makes it easy to verify file is good.

I could;t burn the ISO's with nero, but easyCD creator had no problem burning them (I knew I kept that program around for something!).
The burned ISO's seemed to work fine, except for this
