booting option.


my pc automaticaly run to windows...how can change to linux..in a boot loader option.

depends what your bootloader is. mandrake uses lilo i think... so in /etc/lilo.conf change default=windows (or something similar) to default=linux (or whatever the label= value is for the option your want). then run "lilo" as root to update the MBR

if you're on grub, edit /etc/grub/grub.conf and change the default=0 to the right number of the boot order (or move the linux entry to the top)

in my lilo prompt,i can change my passwd when i forgot my root passwd.this leads to anothers enter into my system.how can i protect that?..pls...
