Angry Booting hangs

I had installed Mandrake10.1 in a dual boot environment with Windows XP. The installation completed sucessfully but my Graphics card was not properly configured. During post-install configuration i configured it. But while booting into mandrake the system hangs at a point with message " INIT: Sending TERM signals". I had tried booting into failsafe also but the same problem. Please help me in figuring out the problem.

just went through that myself, I took note of the last thing that loaded OK, did a CTRL-ALT-DEL to reboot, and bounced the "i" key to catch the "interactive boot" option, I then answered yes up to last thing to load ok, then I knew where it was hanging, so answered no to the next one and continued yes for the rest. Voila, i am up and running, and now know I need to fix my sound tomorrow. Hope that helps.
