HELP !!!!!

I have some trouble on my fresh Mandrake 10 with a Bewan PCI ST adsl modem.

With the past distribs i had to use liblinux-atm1-devel, but the latest known release of it doesen't work on mandrake 10.

Can someone help me?

Or if i'm going in a wrong way, help me out please...

Thanks

Did you try installing it anyway?

Also if they have one for an older version of Mandrake install the associated kernel and try it with that one.

Is liblinux-atm1-devel a package? You should try installing it even if they say it's for a different distro.
It's really very easy to switch kernel, just install the appropriate package and voila, you can choose it from the boot menu. I had to do that for my conexant modem, they don't have support for Mandy 10.

I've tried both, package and tared file. He does the operation, but when i check if it is installed, he say no package with this name found.

Well, if nobody can help me out, i have to install the 9.2 version...

Sniff....

Thank you anyway

wait, is it a problem with the kernel or mandrake 10? Because mandrake 10 can be installed with 2.4 or 2.6 (and feasibly a few others).

If it's just the kernel, use 2.4 instead and see if that cures it. I know some of my older programs don't like 2.6
