Auto login doesn't work anymore

Unfortunately, I'm not sure when this occurred, but for some reason now when I go to the autologin in the control center, even if I have it turned on it will not work. How do I fix this?

I'm using Mandriva Linux 2010.1. What autologin is, is a feature that allows you to have a user logged in automatically at bootup, in this case to a specified GUI enviroment. There are autologin programs that let you do the same to the terminal, but the one I'm using and need does this to the GUI enviroment. This feature is found in Control Center->boot->Set up autologin to automatically log in.
