ATI drivers won't load at startup

I finally got my 3D support working and ATI drivers installed. But my problem is, that every time I boot, i have to manually modprobe nvidia_agp and restart x. I've tried adding nvidia_agp to /etc/modules, but then I still have to restart X. How could I get nvidia_agp load before fglrx gets loaded.

Another weird thing is that when I have my ATI driver loaded and I run glxgears I only get about 30fps, but Tux Racer runs normally.

yeah i have the same problem you mention so i would appreciate it if someone could help (glxgears for me get just shy of 2500)
i don't check these forums as oftan as i would like so if you can send me an email at sirdudesly/\ it would be much appreciated. It frustrates me i have to drop to level 3 then modprobe nvidia_agp and then logout, login as default user and startx.
