Associate an icon with firefox

Hello all

How do I associate an icon with firefox so that it displays in one of the session windows. Currently the session window shows it as a blank page. I'm not talking about a desktop icon, but the session window icon or the icon on the top left of the window.

I hope this is a makes a little sense - i just wasn't sure how to phrase it.

cheers, Ross

I understand what you mean, but I don't know how to fix this for you.

However, the situation as I see it suggests that there's something wrong with your Firefox.

Looking at the Firefox I'm typing this in, I notice that the session icon (both in the window manager's top left corner, and in the taskbar) is the old Phoenix/Firebird icon (you know, the one that looked kinda like a raging flame, if you used your imagination?).

However, I am so far unable to actually find this icon on my PC (but I haven't looked that hard yet). I already knew that the desktop icon (which is the nice new globe with the firey fox) is installed to /usr/share/pixmaps. And I looked in the /usr/lib/MozillaFirefox/chrome/icons directory, but all that was there, to my surprise, was the old old old red Mozilla "head" icon. So that's not it either. And I seriously doubt I'd find it in any of the Mozilla install folders (that'll be the day).

I'm suspecting that it's kept in one of the *.jar files, and called from one of the *.js or *.rdf files, but I haven't checked them yet. If that turns out to be the case, then whatever *.jar file is supposed to contain this icon.... doesn't. Which is then a problem with your build.

You might have better luck tracking down where this icon is supposed to be in the Firefox files (so that you can replace it, or even check if it's there in the first place) on the MozillaZine Forums.

Sorry not to be more help, but hopefully this is a lead of sorts. Good luck.
