Looks like someone tried to post to this thread 5 hours ago, but forgot to press "post reply".

How do you determine that? Note that threads are automatically bumped if they've not had any replies after 24 or 48 hours. By responding to your thread, you've stopped that from happening.
It might help if you told us which modules weren't working. If they're not part of the kernel (i.e. you've obtained them from elsewhere), do you have the source? You should be able to rebuild them in that case. Also, there's no need to put your email address in your posts. The information on LQ is meant to be public and asking others to email you their responses stops others benefiting. Also, by posting your email address, you're probably going to end up with more spam. |

The 24 and 48 hour bumping is a good thing, because it means threads with no replies are made noticeable. However, I digress..
fglrx, as far as I know is a proprietary module that's distributed in binary form only. As such, you won't be able to rebuild it and will have to take up the problem with the developers. Check this, though. I've never attempted to build the VirtualBox modules myself, but the source is available. I don't know whether it's possible to build just the modules, or you have to build the entire package, however. I'd advise checking their documentation. |
I tried installing an older kernel, and get the same results, so it has nothing to do with the kernel version.
I've started a new thread at: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...52#post4454852 so ignore this thread. Wayne Sallee Wayne@WayneSallee.com |

The real reason is that the system that tells whether a thread is unread is really glitchy. |
Since you took it upon yourself to vandalise this thread, I have closed it. Incidentally, dumping your email at the end of your post makes it frighteningly trivial for mail harvesters to make you their best friend.
