aMule anyone?
I have a strange occurence going on with aMule, when I try to open it crashes immeadiately, it opens for 1.2 seconds then it goes away. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall and it has not corrected the problem, any recommendations on how to fix this problem?
It crashes whether I use to ALT-F-2 command or the Konsole.

Which version of aMule you are running? How did you installed it - compiled from sources or using rpm? If you compiled it yourself, maybe you using wx 2.4.2 with GTK 2 - thing causing most problems in aMule. Go to aMule website: http://www.amule.org/,and post your questions on the forum there.
Or you can see the Wiki: http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page,and try to reinstall aMule using instructions found there.

I believe when I first installed it, I did a urpmi amule install, the second time I uninstalled amule using Mandrake CC and then reinstalled amule using Mandrake CC. Version Installed was amule-1.2.6-3plf, with amule-commandline-1.2.6-3plf.

I almost shure that you're missing some dependencies... So,imho, the best thing you can do is to remove an installed app. Then go to aMule's Wiki and read it's documentation. Then install aMule from scratch including re-installing of all required libraries, but compile it yourself from sources instead of using rpm. There are very good step-by-step instructions for how to do it.And get a latest version of aMule,it is 2.0.something now and has a load of improvements. It is not as difficult as it's looks like... If you still have a problems, post it here,i'll be glad to help.

So remove all directories associated with amule and uninstall amule and then start from scratch and reinstall?
That is what I will attempt.

Every site I attempt to go to that says aMule is not there, does anyone have an official link to their site?

aMule Problem solved
Hey Guys before I did anything and pulled the trigger I thought I would try the stupidest easiest thing I didn't think of and that was to delete all my temporary files inside my aMule temporary folder.
Here was my reasoning, I was using aMule at the time of mysterious problem occurred and someone here rebooted my PC while it was on, and I thought perhaps something got corrupted within aMule.
Well I deleted my temporary files and now it works...
Go figure
