amarok starts when i click on my desktop icons

Amarok starts when I click on the "Home" folder on the desktop, and the folder doesn't open. It doesn't do it when I go to the "star" and click on "Home" - everything is normal then. It seems to be only with desktop icons, such as Trash, Home, and any links that I put there to other folders. Any idea what could be wrong?

BTW - i just did a fresh install of Mandriva 2006

anyone?

1. You agreed not to bump your thread until 24 hours passes since the last post when you signed up for your account
2. It gets bumped after 24 hours automagically if there are zero replies

3. I am running into a similar issue myself. I resolved it via a workaround, but I'll post what I did aftter 10:49pm (or more likely tomorrow) ;)

chemdawg 10-19-2005 08:15 PM

uh, sorry?

chemdawg 10-19-2005 08:19 PM

better yet KimVette, don't bother. Reminding me of the rules is not your job - its the job of the moderators. If you aren't willing to help out then please don't post at all. Thanks.

No I will point out when people are impatient jerks who have no respect for netiquette and other users. Anyway I'm not posting the solution since you're such a jerk. Have fun.

And lo, at this point the community disintegrated.

With my super duper mod powers (which also makes me a high court judge, by somestrange twist of fate), I decree that you are both at fault. My judgement is as follows:

* no bumping of posts until the automatic bump period has expired. The system is geared to automatically move unanswered posts to the top of the list without user intervention. You should only "bump" your post if you are providing more information which will help others to solve your problem

* chucking your toys out of the pram is not allowed. Calmly point out where a usr is at fault and then, if it continues, report them to a mod.

* witholding the answer makes a mockery of the whole LQ ethos - that information is to be shared. Saying that you will post up the answer and then withdrawing the offer is a little childish, really.

So, both of you, chill out and let's get this solved.
