AGP card seen as PCI??

Hi,
I'm a BRAND NEW LINUX USER!!!

1 day old

I installed Mandrake 10.0 without a hitch.

2 things.

1.) It says ( recognizes ) my AGP nVidia GeForce 5200 FX is a PCI ??
and it only gives me 1024 x 780 res at maximum ( I'm using the downloaded version )

2.) It has a problem with my Built in Network card. Anywere good that I can go look for drivers? I think thats the problem.
If it boots up it says loading ethernet.... [FAILED] The rest says [OK]

AGP cards use the PCI controller, and so are listed as PCI. It shouldn't be anything to worry about.
The resolution problem is more likely to be related to your monitor getting its specifications wrong, rather than the graphics driver; try entering the monitor settings by hand, or try reducing your refresh rate.

To fix your network card, first identify what it is. It will probably be listed in the output of the command
Code:
/sbin/lspci
Run that in a terminal, and post the results for the network card please.

Hope that helps,
