after installing mandrake

hello

installed mandrake 10.1 after booting after installation.. the system hangs... and when i go to safe boot.. it hangs at

ACPI: IRQ9 SCI: Level Trigger.

the same happened when i installed gentoo...

suse 9.1,9.2, mepis, FC3 and ubuntu install and boot without problems..

any hints

Have you tried disabling the ACPI in bios??

Try pressing <Esc> at your boot screen and on the "boot: " prompt enter 'linux noacpi noapic'
