adsl with linuadsl usb modem..conexant

hello, i am a nebie to all linux and have just installed mandrake 10 on my pc. i cannot get the usb modem to operate at all(fine in windows) and as i wish to use adsl to finally rid myself of windows, any ideas ?

They have loads of drivers for loads of USB modems - not sure if yours is among them though.
If you continue to get problems, you might consider the ethernet/router method of net connection as, invariably, routers don't need any drivers.
You can use this for Windoze too.

thanks for your reply....i have decided to bite the bullet and go the ethernet, or lan, and router route if that makes sense. But for 30 quid it saves me alot of hassle, and you cant argue at that price. thnx again.
