Hello,

I am very, very new to Linux (about an hour to be precise) so please accept my apologies - I know virtually nothing about it works as yet, I'm still playing around with Mandrake 10.

I've got an external usb hard disk, which has all of my data (mp3s / videos / work etc) on, but I don't know how to access it in Linux. I did note that as it booted, it said that it couldn't mount all drives (or something like that) and it doesn't show up on the desktop. It does however appear in the partitions sections thingy.

I just want to listen to some relaxing music while I'm fiddling around and scratching my head!

Help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks for your reply...but that still means very little to me. Could someone please point me in the direction of a good Linux starters guide?
